A Sea of Gold and Burgundy plays folk/roots music informed by lyricism and harmony.  At the heart of the band there are three award-winning singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who grew up together in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

“I thank God I found my friends again/ cause there’s nothing else that could help, no medicine/ for my depression”

The songwriters re-joined forces after over a decade apart.  re-discovering the sense of the magic and joy that brought them together in the first place and creating the album “Ghosts in These Walls”  - “A four-song testament to friendship, forgiveness, and the redemptive power of music.” - Jenna Melanson, CanadianBeats.ca

The group has gained acclaim for the soulful songbook carried by three part harmonies and often including the choir of the live audience.  The performances are unique and dynamic.  Ranging from lament to celebration, open road to cozy at home.

“The new EP, Golden Horizons, takes a complete 180 degree turn. All the songs are joyous, upbeat and positive. Rather than looking back at loss and regret, the tracks look forward with excitement about what’s to come.” - Mike Balsom, NOTlocal.com

The group carries a wealth of experience: through tours of North America, many album releases and sharing the stage, to name a few, with the likes of Sloan, Xavier Rudd, Ron Sexsmith, Danny Michel, the Arkells and more.   A Sea of Gold and Burgundy looks forward to adding to these experiences and creating new waves.
